GOLD MINES
WALK

As you walk the 3.5km mines walk, the township of Clunes as it is today, is largely behind you.  If you look from Scenic Drive down, you'll see the Clunes Town Hall.  Designed by architect Percy Oakden, and constructed by William Cowland in 1872-3, the Clunes Town Hall and Courthouse buildings reflect the Victorian Free Classical style of building. It's grandeur exemplifies the civic pride of a prosperous gold town.
