Emergency Relief

Clunes Neighbourhood House provides emergency food relief as part of its aim to support community members in times of financial hardship. The services are run in partnership with local organisations, including Anglicare Victoria.

Relief includes:
-
Food hampers (fresh, non-perishable, and essential food items).
-
Vouchers (for food, or for supermarket/foodshop use) via the Emergency & Ongoing Relief program.
-
Open House (delivered) meals. Some meals are sold at low cost; others are provided free to those in greatest need.

Who Can Access Support
The relief is available to people living in and around Clunes who are experiencing hardship. This includes:

-
Those who may have insufficient funds to purchase groceries
-
Individuals or families in financial stress (e.g. due to unemployment, unexpected expenses, or crisis events)
-
People needing short‑term or emergency support rather than ongoing welfare benefits
There is no complicated eligibility process: reaching out to Clunes Neighbourhood House is sufficient. In some cases, valid healthcare or concession cards may help speed up or simplify access.
