What is involved?

Safe and Connected Rural Women
Proto-type

WRISC (Family violence support for women and families) are working with us on the Safe and Connected Rural Women project to meet with individuals, women and families, and the broader community to explore what safe and connected looks like for people living in and around Clunes.

Our intention is three-fold:

- We want to connect with people

- We want to hear (and see through art) what would make you feel safe and connected

- ...and we want to turn that into a proto-type that we can roll out in Clunes

We don't know what that proto-type will look like.  But we do know that along the way we are going to build relationships across community, start conversations and wrap supports (through our association with WRISC who also do outreach at Clunes Neighbourhood House every Wednesday fortnight - you'll see their sign in the window when they are here!) around that.  Through other community events we are going to extend that conversation across the community, knowing that a safe and connected Clunes, is a better Clunes for everyone.

This 6 month project is funded by the Department of Social Services via the Australian Neighbourhood Centres and Houses Association.
