Community News - July 2026

Every month when the latest issue of Clunes Community Newsletter lands in letterboxes (should be early next week), we're reminded that a community newsletter is about far more than sharing information. This month's edition is full of those moments.

You'll meet the newly launched Clunatics Pickleball Club as it takes shape, read reflections on what it means to feel safe and connected in a rural town, discover why Produce Swap is about much more than vegetables, and hear stories from local clubs, schools and volunteers who continue to make Clunes such an active place to call home.

You'll also find practical opportunities to get involved, from contributing your local knowledge to the Clunes Flood Mitigation Study, learning how to identify misinformation online, joining the Clunes Show, or simply supporting one of the many clubs and groups that welcome new members throughout the year. As always, there's something for every interest and every stage of life.

A special thank you goes to every volunteer, contributor, photographer, advertiser and local organisation who helps make the newsletter possible. It remains one of the simplest—and most effective—ways we strengthen social connection by sharing what's happening across our town. If you have a story to tell, we'd love to hear from you. Together, we're continuing to build a newsletter that reflects the people, places and ideas that make Clunes unique.

Hardcopies should be in cafes later this week.
