A Blue Tree, a Community Mural and a Reason to Check In

On R U OK? Day, Thursday 10 September, we’re inviting the Clunes community to join us for a special afternoon at Clunes Neighbourhood House.

From 1.30pm, we’ll officially unveil the Clunes Blue Tree and share a sneak peek at our Safe & Connected community mural. These two new local landmarks are very different, but they have something important in common. They’re reminders to notice each other. To listen. To connect. And to look out for the people around us.

The Blue Tree is part of the national Blue Tree Project, which encourages communities to help break down the stigma around mental health and start conversations that can sometimes be difficult to have.

Our Safe & Connected mural carries a similar message about connection, belonging and creating a community where people look out for one another. The mural is progressing and WRISC will be there to show how it is emerging.

And because there’s always something happening at the Neighbourhood House, we’ll also be giving everyone a first look at our new Camera Library - something we’re VERY excited to finally share! What's a Camera Library you ask? Why not come along and find out!

There’ll be light refreshments, local wellbeing and support information, and plenty of time for a cuppa and a chat.
